Despertar 03:05
Despertar Ah-aha-aha-ahaha….. ____________________________ Awaken Ah-aha-aha-ahaha….. If I stop to think The sky shatters its light And there are melodies to embrace There are storms to be fought You come out of one heart Water splashes under your feet And there are hearts open to be swum in There are more songs to sing Remember the restlessness That leads to anxiety And your stomach in the middle of a sea That plies sorrows Feel this way Hear my voice Listen to me in your song That leaves me alone and fulfilled Ah-aha-aha-ahaha

Rebeca’s third studio album entitled “Azucar Canela” is a collection of 8 original compositions, two unique adaptations of Jazz standards and a “Buleria” interpretation of a Milton Nascimento’s classic “Cravo e Canela. The album is being brought to life under the direction of Grammy Award Winning producer John Seymour (Santana, U2, Dave Matthews Band). “Azucar Canela” reaches beyond what’s purely “entertaining” creating a unifying journey where three musical cultures, three countries (Spain, Brazil, US), and three different types of “blues” converge.

Among the internationally sought-after musicians who participated in the recording of this album are Spanish Flamenco pianist Ariadna Castellanos, Brazilian percussionist Zé Mauricio, Argentinian pianist Emillio Solla, Spanish “cajonero” Jose Antonio Montaña and Chilean percussionist Yayo Serka.
